About Me

I’m a fine art American photographer who has lived and traveled extensively in Europe and around the world. I am very influenced by photographers Henri Cartier-Bresson, Michael Kenna, Sebastião Salgado and Robert Frank. Most of my photos are black and white (monochrome) and I publish under the nom du photographe of Rizwan On Mars. My most recent formal exhibition was hosted by a gallery in Belgium. Several of my street photography images were selected for exhibition in Belgium, Mons arts de la scène (Mons Performing Arts Festival). Abstract Magazine has featured my photography several times. In 2017, they featured my silhouette photos, then in early 2025, they featured my abstract images of Antelope Canyon. My photos have been used to showcase an art museum and to accompany poetry. I support myself as a professional photo editor for books, magazines, and private collections

Exploring the World Through My Lens

The photographic art featured here are a sampling of my photographs across a variety of genre. Most of my photographs are shot in color and converted using a variety of professional tools and techniques into black and white images. I do occasionally publish color images. Some of my favorite images, in fact, are my color images. Browse the website and read my thoughts on why I produced some of the images.
